Kafue Institute of Health Sciences & Research is a Private Public partnership  (P.P.P) Institution that has been established by three partners i.e Lecturers from Chainama College of Health Sciences (CCHC). The purpose of establishing it is to assist the Government of the Republic of Zambia in training Clinical Of icer Generals, Environmental Technologists, Registered Nurses and teachers. These Health Of icers are important Frontline Health Cadres (workers) that attend to many common ailments af licting our people throughout the country. Furthermore, Teachers provide tomorrow’s leaders by imparting in our children knowledge. However, because of population growths and escalating disease  burden and need for an educated Zambia, besides limited resources, Government alone has not been able to train enough Clinicians, EHT’s, Registered Nurses and Teachers. Hence, this initiative of establishing KIHSR.
